The AI SEO Stack: AI in Everything

Where AI helps at every stage of SEO, the tool categories to consider, human-in-the-loop quality rules, and 10 starter prompts you can copy today.

AI now touches every part of running an SEO business, from research and briefs to reporting and automation. Used well, it lets a small team do the work of a bigger one. Used carelessly, it produces generic, inaccurate content that helps nobody. This page maps where AI fits, which tool categories to consider, the quality rules to follow, and ten prompts to get you started.

Human-in-the-Loop Quality Rules

The rule of thumb: AI drafts, humans decide. Google’s guidance says AI-assisted content is fine when it is helpful and people-first, and scaled low-value content breaks spam policies no matter how it is made.
  1. Verify every fact. AI can state wrong things confidently. Check numbers, names, dates and claims against sources.
  2. Never publish invented data. No made-up statistics, quotes, studies or testimonials.
  3. Add real experience. Examples, screenshots, opinions and results that only you or the client have.
  4. Edit for voice. Remove filler and generic phrasing. Make it sound like a real person.
  5. Protect data. Check tool privacy settings before pasting client or customer data.
  6. Disclose where appropriate. Be transparent with clients about how you use AI.
  7. Keep approval steps. Nothing goes live or to a client without human review.

The 10-Prompt Starter Set

Copy these, fill in the [brackets], and adapt them. Find many more in the Prompt Library.

1. Keyword Clustering

AI Prompt

Group these keywords into topic clusters by search intent: [paste keywords]. For each cluster give a page title, primary intent, recommended page type and priority (high, medium, low) with a one-line reason.

2. Content Brief

AI Prompt

Create a content brief for an article targeting "[keyword]" for [audience]. Include: search intent, suggested title, answer-first intro direction, H2/H3 outline, questions to answer, examples or experience to add, and 5 internal link ideas from this list: [paste URLs].

3. Answer-First Rewrite

AI Prompt

Rewrite this introduction so it directly answers "[question]" in 2 to 3 plain sentences, then previews what the page covers. Keep all facts the same. Intro: [paste].

4. Editing Pass

AI Prompt

Edit this draft for clarity and concision. Remove filler and cliches, shorten long sentences, and flag any claim that needs a source. Do not add new facts. Return the edited text and a list of flagged claims. Draft: [paste].

5. Meta Tags

AI Prompt

Write 3 title tag options (under 60 characters) and 3 meta description options (under 155 characters) for a page about [topic] targeting [keyword]. Make them accurate, specific and compelling, with no clickbait.

6. Schema Markup

AI Prompt

Generate JSON-LD schema for a [LocalBusiness/Article/Service/FAQPage] using only these details: [paste details]. Do not invent any values. List any recommended properties I have not provided.

7. Repurposing Kit

AI Prompt

Turn this article into: 1 LinkedIn post, 3 short social posts, a 60-second video script, and a newsletter intro. Keep facts exactly as written. Article: [paste].

8. Outreach Email

AI Prompt

Write a personalized outreach email to [name], who writes about [topic] at [publication]. Mention [specific piece they wrote] and explain why [my resource] would be useful to their readers. Under 100 words, friendly, no flattery overload, easy to say no.

9. Report Summary

AI Prompt

Using ONLY this data, write a plain-English monthly SEO summary for a business owner: 3 wins, 1 concern, what changed and why only if the data shows it. Do not invent causes or predict rankings. Data: [paste].

10. Automation Planner

AI Prompt

I do this task manually every [week/month]: [describe task]. Design an automation for it in [n8n/Make/Zapier]: trigger, steps, apps involved, where AI is used, where a human approves, data touched, and what could go wrong.

Prompting Tips That Improve Results

  • Give context. Audience, goal, niche and tone. The more specific, the better the output.
  • Provide source material. Paste the data, notes or draft rather than asking AI to recall facts.
  • Set constraints. Word limits, formats, and “do not invent facts” instructions.
  • Ask for structure. Tables, lists and headings make output easier to review.
  • Iterate. Treat the first answer as a draft; ask follow-up questions and request changes.
  • Save winners. Keep prompts that work in a shared library for your team.

End of Day

A report draft waits for review. You check every number, add your insight and send it.
